We initially started as a nonprofit 501c3 for the purposes of research and credibility. We have made several large discoveries and are transitioning to a for-profit model in order to build the neighborhoods we love.

Housing is the largest ‘broken’ system in the US. The demand for new homes in LA alone is $900 billion. CA is over $2 trillion. McKinsey estimates construction can see 20% cost savings. By our calculations, we reduce costs by 42%, while maintaining quality and creating value.

We have spent 5 years researching the issue, and building the political alliances, muscles, brand and reputation to execute on the plan. We have created a technical road map to unlock the housing and the street changes that ensure profitability while maintaining sales/rental prices that serve the vastly overlooked middle income residents of LA.

Meet Our Talented Team

Lindsay and Dvora met at Harvard, and are both creative, divergent, systems thinkers. In 2004, as LA’s public schools were overcrowded and failing, they saw the possibilities of charter schools. Together, they launched an exemplary school model that could be replicated: Larchmont Charter immediately became the most popular school in LA because it tied together a deep sense of community, a commitment to respecting teachers as curriculum creators, and a diverse student body. The heads of movie studios forgo private school to send their kids to a school with homeless families and 50% of the students receive free lunch. They started 6 more schools and unleashed systemic change as others followed their model. District schools then rose to counter this competition and improved themselves. Hundreds of thousands of students have benefitted.

We want to replicate that success in housing. Dvora has expertise in tech, and Lindsay comes from Hollywood producing and writing. Lindsay also has spent 5 years co-hosting a podcast and radio show on transportation and urbanism – so she is a subject-matter expert in the field. She is asked to speak on the topic on a regular basis and is considered an ‘influencer’ in the space.
